
Carly Fisher
Artistic and Programs Director
Carly is the Artistic, Programs and Festival Director at Qtopia Sydney and has been with the organisation since 2022, well before the doors opened. As the organisation's first Artistic and Programs Director, Carly has proudly curated seasons of theatre, developed programs, including curriculum linked programs in partnership with the NSW Department of Education, rolled out the regional education program and created Pride Fest.
Carly is also a Theatre Director and Production with over 35 productions under her, running both her own company as Artistic and Managing Director of Theatre Travels since 2017, and also working as a freelance creative. Carly has toured with shows around Australia and internationally in the US, UK and New Zealand.
Since 2012, Carly has worked in the not-for-profit sector across program creation, volunteer management, philanthropy, development and sponsorship, and more for a variety of organisations, prioritising working with fledgling, new organisations in fields that make significant contributions to community.
Carly has worked across multiple Arts festivals, established the Theatre Travels review platform from scratch into one of the country’s most active theatre review sites, and has a background in publicity and social media management, including a Masters of PR and Advertising with Honours. She is also a certified Marriage Celebrant.
