Education Advisor
Rodney Plashchik is proud to be joining the QTOPIA Education Advisory Board, where he will contribute his experience and passion for creating inclusive educational environments and learning spaces. As Head Teacher of Programs at Sydney Secondary College, Rodney brings a deep commitment to fostering pride and diversity within schools. He has a longstanding dedication to promoting inclusivity, most notably through his work directing and producing the Department of Education Mardi Gras floats. These vibrant entries have not only celebrated the LGBTQIA+ community within the Department but have fostered a culture of acceptance and respect across public school education settings.
With a background in supporting students, staff, and community members to feel valued and empowered, Rodney brings a collaborative spirit and creative energy to the work he is involved in. He is deeply honoured to become part of the QTOPIA Education Advisory Board and looks forward to supporting initiatives that advance inclusivity, visibility, and affirmation for all students.
