Samantha Lawrence brings more than 20 years of risk, governance and board secretary experience across the public sector, financial services, and insurance industries to the Qtopia Sydney board. Former Chief Risk and Governance Officer at the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPC), Samantha has also held executive roles at Insurance and Care NSW (icare), including Chief of Staff and Executive Sponsor for Diversity and Inclusion. At icare, she established the organisation’s diversity and inclusion practice and served as Company Secretary from its inception until 2017.

Samantha has served as a board member of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and has provided board secretariat services to several NSW Government organisations throughout her career.

Beyond her corporate governance expertise, Samantha is an emerging curator and project manager in Sydney’s arts sector, with a passion for bold, experimental exhibitions that push creative boundaries. She brings this same innovative thinking and attention to detail to her board work.

Samantha is currently finalising a Masters in Art Curating at Sydney University and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Archaeology and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southampton, UK. She has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course.
