Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of NSW in Political Science & French as well as a Master of International & Public Affairs from Columbia University, New York.

He spent eight years working in business development and conference planning for not-for-profit organisations in the United States & Hong Kong. On returning to Sydney, he owned and operated the independent Lindfield Bookshop & Children’s Bookshop for over 20 years, organising and moderating author & literary programs.

Passionate about books, history and genealogy, Scott keeps busy in his ‘spare time’, regularly hosting trivia evenings; moderating author “in conversation” programs and lecturing to groups on various history topics.
